Kim: Athens Food Tours deserve big thumbs up
My parents have conveniently found ways over the past 10 years to "remind" me I'm definitely considered an adult now. There's been a gradual acceptance period, from the beginning of my 20s, when I'd impulsively fire back with, "No I'm not!" to my late 20s, when they've been answered with less compunction.
Now that I've reluctantly accepted adulthood, I notice more than ever that time is limited - magnified, surely, because I own and run my own business. Hence my last New Year's resolution: to eradicate wasted time in my life. I'm not always successful, but I'm at least always looking for fun and productive ways to spend my free time (or what I have of it). So when I recently discovered a tasty activity that felt like time well spent, I wanted to share.
I first was introduced to Athens Food Tours in the springtime, when Mary Charles e-mailed to ask me if Yoguri wanted to be a part of their downtown itinerary.

From then on, week after week, I have been met with various tour groups of all ages and backgrounds who usually share the common thread of curiosity in Athens' food culture. After a few months of participating as a vendor, I signed myself up.
I'm proud to announce that I was a part of an AFT first.
AFT's first walking tour in the rain that is - though I mention this because none of us cared in actuality. Whether it's a testament to how engaging a guide Charles is, or how much I detest the searing heat lately, no matter.
We met in high spirits and started off at Jittery Joe's Roaster on East Broad Street.
There we were met
